Hi Jan,

When will the scene files for the HPX300 be available for download from the Panasonic website?

(Sorry if this has been asked/answered already!)

cheers

Ryan,
I had asked this a while back. Jan indicated it could be a while. She said it took a lot of work to create all the scene files Panasonic has posted so far and that progress on new scene files for the 300 really won't be made until the camera gets in the hands of operators and her engineer types.

So, based on that I would say probably months down the road.

Well I got Mike a camera and he is working on it. Hopefully by May, hoping to show a couple of them at NAB. Sooo....

Jan,
That's better than I anticipated. Great news.

We have a HPX300 on our sales floor now and can start creating scene files. Are there any specific looks that anyone wants? If you have a specific HVX200 or HPX170 scene file just let me know.

Andy

Hey Andy,
Matching up with the HPX500 and HVX200 scene files posted at http://www.panasonic.com/business/provideo/scene_files_main.asp would be great. For me, the HVX200 setting named Filmic and the HPX500 setting Digineg are of prime interest. I really like this look and would likely be using the HPX300 with one of these cameras.

Thanks for the offer to come up with some settings. That's great service.

Sounds like a great idea. I'll get to it tomorrow and post it here. Also check out our new AbelCineTech blog - CineTechnica (http://blog.abelcine.com). I think I'll post them there as well. :)

Were any scene files discussed above created? Would love to see a list and what they are and where to download them.

As a owner myself, I would like someone more versed than myself to create a scene file that decreases the detail as well as decreases the noise. I am rather surprised that the image is as noisy as it is (seem especially bad in 1080 24pn AVC-Intra 100).

Cheers!
