Hi All,
I posted a similar question in the Hardware forum but got no replies. Since I am using a DVX100B with a Letus adapter I thought I would get specific and post here.
Has anyone had experience with either of these tripods and can you tell me if they are comparable or if one is better than the other?
Cheers,
Adrian

I would say Manfrotto takes a bit more weight. I used both...I kept my small travel Libec.
Libec has plastic latches....might break one day, Manfrotto is a bit more solid built .

Thanks for the reply. Does the Libec have a fluid head? I saw another post that brought up the issue that its unclear if it does or not. I wonder if it will support a DVX100B with a letus adapter and rails. Specs say the TH-M20 only supports 8.8 lbs, I'm guessing not so much...

I've never seen let alone used the Libec you are referrering to but I have the Libec LS382a and believe it is far superior to the 501, I played with both before I made my decision to buy the Libec, and yes my Libec is a true fluid head, although it only has fixed drag.

Not familiar with the Libec, but the 503 is much superior to the 501. Well worth the extra money.

The above is a review on the Libec.
I just purchased this over the 501/503 as everyone I spoke to said it was much better.
Tapeworks Texas is having a special on this until May i think... http://tapeworkstexas.com/ls38m_2a_.html its $565.00 so tell them you want "Spring Special" and you get this price.
