View Full Version : More Moderator Oversight

Just wondering if the "notify moderator" link actually works.

For example, there is a post over in the HMC150 thread looking for advice on setting up a preset in Premiere for AVCHD.

In the post, the poster says quite directly that he/she is using a "cracked" "illegal" version.

I sent a notify to the board, but it's been up for quite a time.

Also, there are threads in the marketplace where sellers include software "preinstalled" without the original discs or a transfer of license in the sale.

These as well are left up without any oversight.

Is there a specific person that is best to deal with these type of issues promptly, or is it hit and miss?

best

I've always gotten quick action the few times I've used it - I think there are different mods for different subforums - perhaps some are more attentive than others. Not pointing fingers, just saying I've always seen pretty quick action on my end. Try PM'ing Jason if he doesnt chime in here - he's always quick to get back to me on things.

I too had to use it once and got a response in just an hour or two.

Yes, the moderator button works, but keep in mind that we all have jobs, families, and are NOT being paid. Sometimes it will take us a few hours to handle a problem because we're all working.

Maybe in a few months we'll outsource moderating to India and even have a call center. :)
