Probably need some more details. Are you talking about 59.94? Is it a 720p file? Camera shot on etc? Was it variable frame rate?

yes, 59.94, that was a typo

shot on an HVX, 720-60p

I was doing some variable frame rate stuff earlier that day and I must have forgot to switch it back.

What was the shutter speed? Usually it is twice the frame rate, and that will be the real issue to overcome. I should think with all those extra frames from the 60p, dropping the ones you need in a 24p comp wont do too much to alter the look or cadence.

There are a couple of things you can do to force a motion blur, but without knowing the shutter speed, I'm not sure what to tell you at this point.

Maybe post a few seconds video for us to play with? That would help.

Any more help and I am going to have to put you on some sort of payroll Matt.

I bet it was at 180... can I find out?

Vegas does a very decent job automatically, but not when there is fast motion, and there is as a waitress swings a tray of booze across the screen from far left to center of the frame. The good thing is that I am outputting at 630 x 360... but still it would be nice to fix it up a bit more.

I'll post the footage once I am done working on this thing.

I don't use the HVX, so I don't know what the shutter would be. If it was 180, there is some serious work to do, because the normal shutter speed for 24p is 1/48. That means your footage will have at the MOST, less than one third the blur. Like I said though, that can be addressed, but I can't guarantee the results will look as true as native 24.

Can't hurt to try though.

Fell free to put me on the payroll. My rates are 30 an hour, or 27¼ midget virgins per finished minute.

oh, sorry I meant 180 degrees, so for 60fps it would be 120th... 2.5 times the blur of what I have now.

I actually have too much blur... but that is with Vegas' automated fix by just dropping the 59.94 into the 23.976 timeline. I'll post the whole thing soon I hope. But don't expect much as I shot everything myself.

I guess I can live with the blur as I can't afford your services. Too many virgins... ?!?! lol
