View Full Version : Auto exposure - bias toward aperture or shutter

I've seen some beautiful images come out of the Mk II. I don't think that the lack of 24p is make or break either.

I do want shallow depth of field or there are any number of good controllable video cameras I could purchase. Including using the Canon XH-A1 I already have.

So, for those of you that know how to properly control light, as you add neutral density filters, set up lights and treat the light, does canon's auto exposure first attempt to get the aperture down or does it first control the shutter or both.

Does it display somewhere what settings it's using or just change them.

Thanks ahead of time.

P.S. I should add this is for video mode, I'd never dream of using auto mode for stills.
