I was wondering if it is possible to sync the timecode between and HVX-200 and a DVX-100b in the camera using the firewire ports as it is between two HVX-200s. Assuming you're shooting to tape on the HVX-200 and the same format on both cameras.

Will this work with the original DVX-100? Where can I find more information on syncing an HVX and a DVX for the same shoot? I assume one would use Firewire?

Thanks.

You could sync the HVX200 to the DVX100, but not the other way around.

Article on how to do it is here (http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/sync/).

so if I do as the Article, does that mean I am getting the same formate as well?(if it's shot both w/ MiniDv)

how is that possible? the dvx can't shoot 16:9 but after I do this method with the hvx, does that mean the dvx will start shooting like the hvx? (in 16:9, with different frame rate, and becomes worse in low light?)

you would have to shoot in sd think, but if you letterboxed your dvx, it might work.
