==================================
Here are a couple of grabs from some lighting tests I've been doing - trying to see how clean I can get the image in what appears to the eye as being very dark.

I would love to see how noise free this is on a good video file. The grabs though are near stunning. Thanks for sharing!

Care to share your scene file on these shots?
thanks Take_1 - I'll try and post some actual clips on vimeo this weekend. I gotta learn how to do that.
The lighting kit nothing fancy. One Lowel 650 CTB bounced across the door in the BG and another 650 1/2CTB (I think) on the talent - my wife ; ) that I let spill onto the curtains. In her lap behind the book is a 4x4 lite pad.
A little levels and CC using FCP and a home made Magic Bullet setting to fake the shallower DOF (I'm still waiting for my G35).
thanks for looking.

I'll have to post them when I get home - not near the camera right now. I do remember having the Coring up at about +4 and the Ped. around -20.
I'll send specifics later tonight.

Hey Dustbowl,

Chroma Phase 0
Master Ped. -18

I'll try and get some footage posted soon.
thanks for checking it out .

Thanks. I'm always on the hunt for good scene files. This one of yours is especially nice.

Very Nice!
btw, may I ask what f stop were you shooting at? Wide open?
I ask because if this scene were to be shot with your new G35 (with a 1.4 stop light loss), will you need more lights on set.
Sorry for the OT. I'm trying to learn more about the different 35mm adapters.
thank you.
thanks tarkovsky!
f4. I quite sure that these two came from the same settings and set-up. (I tried a bunch of different things that night). It's funny that you mention the adapter because I remember thinking that I should keep the additional light loss in mind as I monkey with different settings.
