I have this Nikon lens, the 50mm 1.4

http://www.nikonusa.com/Find-Your-Nikon/Product/Camera-Lenses/1433/NIKKOR-50mm-f%252F1.4.html

I was using it for my m2 but just acquired a D70. It was working fine until today when all of a sudden the aperture is unwilling to manually close. It stays in the most wide position no matter how much I close it with the ring. I have tried another lens and it works just fine. I've also taken the lens off and moved the switch inside, put it back on and it still does not work.

Any suggestions, I'm fairly new to the world of still photography.

Thanks

It's broken. I had the same thing happen to a 20mm I had. KEH will repair it for a little over $100.

Damn. Does this happen often or was I just too rough with it?

Thanks for the quick response.

Just happens sometimes. I'm sure that you were fine with it, and I doubt it had anything to do with using the new camera.
