Yes as the title says I have converted an Anton Bauer light to work on a 9volt battery and it run approx 20 minutes an rechargable batteries. Approx 20 watts good for interviews as a fill light much what the unit is for in the first place. I have both day light and Tungsten bulbs for indoor and outdoor shooting, they will run on 12 volts so you can run these on your camera power supply.

If you run a 12 Volt Lamp on 9 Volts, you loose the correct Colour Temperature.

How do you get round this?

Actualy the LED light runs on 3 volts the internal circuits reduce the input to 3volts to the LED

I have not seen any difference in colour between 9 and 12 volts or even 18 volts using 2x9s in series
