Horrible noob question.

Hello everybody, sorry this is such a lame question but I need help! I'm trying to make an interesting logo in After Effects CS4, and I'm using several keyframes. So I set the the keyframes to make the text do all sorts of great things, then I want the text to do nothing for a few seconds, and resume animating. But when I scroll forward a bit and start keyframing again, After Effects has the text animating from the last keyframe onward. How can I use a bunch of keyframes, have a period of no activity, then keyframe changes again, but have them start entierly new animation?

Set the last key frame of the first animation to a hold key frame or copy and paste the last key frame of your 1st animation a few frames before the second animation.
