http://www.getelastic.com/wp-content/themes/default/images/twitter-logo.pngTWITTER
As I watch and give feedback on films here, I'll be dropping some tweets tagged with (#dvxfest (http://twitter.com/search?q=dvxfest)) and a link to http://dvxfest.com (http://dvxfest.com) to recommend shorts from this fest to people that follow me there. It may help drive more viewers to the site. Newbies won't be able to vote of course, but they can still give feedback. These tweets will also, automatically pop up in my facebook status.
Anyway, I thought I'd let everyone know so you can do the same if so inclined. May help expand the viewership and get more eyeballs on what's happening here.
if you do, join me in tagging your tweets with #dvxfest so we can follow the chatter.
I WILL BE POSTING A TWEET WITH A CORRESPONDING LINK EVERY TIME....
1. I Watch a film
2. I post feedback

I would also encourage everyone to share links dvxfest.com, your own film thread and the threads of films you review as you watch them on your Facebook profile via this function...

Twitter... I'm hearing so much about this lately... might have to try it out sometime...
Perhaps the fest would be a good opportunity.
And, Zak... You have been a fine example of making the best use of the newly allowed outside promotion. Not only in promoting your own film, but in promoting the fest as a whole. Thanks, for that as it helps to seal this as an ongoing allowed item for future fests.

a lot of people think that real time feeds based on trusted micronetworks (aka your friends and family) will become the primary way people discover content on the internet. i know half of what I watch onlline comes through facebook and twitter feeds from my friends, where it used to be I had to google for stuff on my own. now I have people who i share interests with "curating" content for me. :)
Maybe it will just take some time to get used to....Hey I'm following you Zak!!

...man we are all going to be in SO much trouble when the power grid goes down.
Has anyone written a letter lately?
I'm personally trying to bring back the homing pigeon... who's with me?

hey, you can report them to @spam - which usually takes care of it pretty quick, in my experience. or you could block them.
i'll try to remember to tweet (with the #dvxfest) whenever i watch a film... good idea, Zak.

First I'm hearing of this LossFest. How does the photo contest work?
preston

unless i'm mistaken, the photo contest you're looking for can be found here: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/forumdisplay.php?f=152
..and it's not a part of Loss Fest. hope that helps.

Ok, I never saw that one either. The contest I was referring to is on this page http://www.dvxfest.com/ the link says 'upload your photo contest entry'
Is this the same as the link you provided?

no. he provided the link to the actual forum for PhotoFest. We have minifests that run regularly. Scroll down some on the main page of the forum and you can find additional info about current and past fests.

i think so; dvxfest.com is the central upload/download/rate site for all the fests. so if there's more than one fest going on at any given time (as in photo, film, script, cg...), they all will be represented there.
i think that's how it works...
[apologies to the mods if i'm incorrect.]
