Well I launched the Adaptimax adaptor just over a week ago and the first batch sold out very quickly. The good news is the second batch are now in my hands and although a good chuck of the batch have customers names on them, there are some still available.
This is not a 35mm adaptor like the Brevis, Letus, Redrock, SGBlade, Cinemek etc. There is no ground glass or moving parts. But it does allow Nikon lenses to fit directly onto a Sony PMW-EX3.
Because there is no glass, there is no loss of edge sharpness, and of course you can stop down as far as you want. So what is the point of it?
It doesn't replace a 35mm adaptor, it compliments it. When you use a 35mm adaptor, a 50mm lens is a 50mm lens. On the Adaptimax, a 50mm lens suddenly becomes a 270mm lens. A 200mm lens becomes a 1080mm telephoto lens, and a 400mm lens a whopping 2160mm Super telephoto.
So with the Adaptimax you can get shots which are impossible with the stock EX3 lens. Those wildlife shots you have tried to get (and failed because even on full zoom you are too far away) are now available to you for a very small outlay.
And if you have macro lenses you can get extreme closeups as well. A customer emailed me to say he was overjoyed when he filled a frame with 17mm x 25mm.
I have priced the Adaptimax so that it is available to all. It's an adaptor you can carry around in your kitbag and bring it out when you need it to get that certain shot.
Much more info in the link below.
