Sound?

Hey everyone,

I've read thru the manuals and followed all the steps but I can't get any audio on a scrub thru or a ram preview. If I render out the comp the audio is there, but I can't hear anything while I'm working...

Any ideas? I'm using AE cs2

you should get sound on a ram preview...

Is the sound icon on the layer checked?

Hey,

Yes the icon is checked, the speakers are on etc...

When I press the period on the number key it preview ONLY the sound, no video. And the control + scrub does nothing. The audio is turned on in the time controls too.

I'm running a computer that's about a year old with 3 gigs of ram on windows vista... if that helps.

Total head scratcher. Maybe a soundcard issue? The control + scrubbing should work. What really confuses me is that audio preview works. Sorry MyFilmPro... good luck

What audio format? Some of the previous versions of AE didn't play well with MP3 audio. Try converting the audio to wave or aiff.

I think that may have been it. I imported a aiff and pressing "0" worked with audio.

Could it also be the comp size? I was workign with a 5min comp.
