Not bad. I'm going to build one of these.

2 more questions.
How do you transport them and I'm guessing the 4 bank puts out about 600 watts of light? I'd love to see some footage if you get a chance to post some.

As far as transport goes, I have a van that I transport them in. So I take out the bulbs and transport them in the original box and then the light itself rids along one of the sides of the van.

Footage will be coming soon- I am waiting on a new mount for my Red to use with some new lenses that I got. As soon as it arrives I'll get some footage posted. :)

Yeah, that is why I put it in quotes. The suggestion has been made to call them selectable banks, and I think that is a more accurate description.

Great Job Ryan.

I was also looking for a cheapo solution and
got me one of those.

http://pics.hifi-tower.co.uk/L/313_front_01.jpg

Itīs made for winter depression/SAD Disorder - but also makes a nice KinoFlow for 42 Euros.

It comes with 2 x 40 watt daylight flourescent bulbs and a diffusor.
If you take the diffusor of itīs realy bright.

About 10.000 Lux output.

I shot some scenes of my Loss Fest entry with it - absolut worth the money.
I think I get me some more. Wish it would be dimmable thou - but with the diffusor you can cut it down to about 75%. Better than nothing.
