I shot this on the XH-A1 and letus extreme, I had no manual just basically went out, any tricks with the letus, any suggests or critiques would be greatly appreciated. I just feel like it doesn't look that good in some shots, i shot it with a nikon 1.4 50mm mostly on 1.8 higher. and a nikon telephoto 200mm.

It may just be weird compression but it looks like the GG isn't vibrating at all. You can see what looks like grain on the shots with sky. The grain isn't moving. Are you sure it was turned on?

What f-stop were you using on the lenses? With the Letus Ex you can't really go past f/5.6 without the ground glass texture creeping into your footage, which is what looks like happened here.

At first I thought that too, but the grain doesn't appear to be moving. That why I'm wondering if maybe he forgot to turn it on. It wouldn't be the first time that's happened to adapter owners.
that doesn't look like static GG, but just a lens closed at 5.6 or higher.
Very nice footage. a little heavy on the grading but very nice.
You use some kind of slider or dolly for these?

Well, Papa since you have a lex you're probably correct. I've only used spinners and when you stop down too far you get a semi circular moving patern. Never used a vibrating adapter. It just didn't look like the grain was moving at all to me and somewhat covered up by the grading.

Yoo, Thank you so much everybody for the help, for the one shot mvan posted, i think hes right GG couldn't have been turned same goes for the far shot of the pier. I was using a high f stop, what happened was, I turned the camera on and the whole screen was white, in that case should I lower the gain in the camera or just raise the f-stop and just make sure not to go so high. Whats the ideal f-stop for outside shots around 3? Yea papa i used that DIY slider that zaza posted.
Thanks again everyone

With the LetusEx and strong outdoor light I would probably stop down to 4 or 5.6 on the lens itself.
Because of the limitations of the adapter, you will have to compensate by either closing the iris on the camera (ie: higher f-stop in camera) or throwing on your built-in ND filters.
I prefer to use an f-stop around 8 on the A1, and then compensate for added/decreased brightness with the ND filters while shooting outside. Around f/8 - f/11 is a good sweet spot on the A1 for maximizing sharpness.
