View Full Version : CMOS SX1 or CCD SX200?

One is more a compact, the other a point and shoot with a huge telephoto. Both are wide at the small setting and have similar size sensors with similar pixel counts. One records 720p30, the other 1080p30, however the lenses in these inexpensive cameras are probably the living factor.

However, the 1080p SX1s uses a CMOS sensor, and the 720p SX200 has a CCD sensor. Would avoiding rolling shutter artifacts make the SX200 the better choice regardless of the other features?
