I popped in to see about an acting "resources" thread, just like in most of the other forums, but alas, there is none to behold. Maybe this will get it started? Maybe, stickie it?

Ross Report: Lists legit agency's

Backstage: List auditions and other services

WhoRepresents.com: Lists legit agents and managers

SAG web site: tons of information

All but the last one cost money but if you are not a SAG member there are parts of their site you cannot view. Ross Report is published monthly...Backstage more often...WhoRepresents charges a fee to use and search their site too.

There are others but those are good places to start for a lot of information.

Anyone else want to chime in?

I think Michele's list is excellent. Here in NYC there is also Actors Equity Assoc. (theater work) and AFTRA (taped TV shows and radio). There sites I think must also have info.

Depending on where your at in your career Craigslist is also a source. It seems to have
a lot of non- paying work which can be good experience for someone just starting out and needs a few credits on there resume. It also has jobs that an actor needs to investigate and make sure there legit.

I think this acting forum is a great addition to the DVX site. I'm surprised I have not been able to find sites anywhere were actors can discuss and get ideas and help with various situations that we all run into. Getting input from the variety of people here is wonderful.
