Ok so, I need my HVX200 this weekend to shoot and the manual focus is freaking out. I always have it in manual focus, (not to much of a believer of auto) but even though it is in manual it is still AUTO FOCUSING. So I will be completely in manual, and say i want i a nice smooth rack focus, it automatically just auto focuses to the nearest object before i have the chance to even hit the focus wheel. I have no idea what is wrong, any ideas? If i could please get a response that would be awesome! I need this camera this weekend for my lossfest entry! Thanks!

Is the auto/manual switch in "auto" mode? Is there a green "A" on the LCD display? The auto switch will override the manual/autofocus switch.

Thank you so much! I fixed it in a jiffy! I feel like a major newb right now, but at least it is fixed. Thanks a bunch!

dont feel that way clark. One of my close friends borrowed my camera one day and a few weeks later I was at a shoot silently thinking my camera had gone insane because the Iris kept changing even though I was def. on manual iris. I double checked all my settings, all correct.
For a solid minute I'm sweating cold in the studio thinking that I have to go to the producer and tell him that we have to find a new camera body and that I had to send mine in to the shop...then I noticed the auto manual switch was in auto mode. 2 Years I've owned the camera and I had never used that switch, and yes I also felt like a newb.
