Well i made a movie and when i go to export it into quicktime movie and then put it on idvd to make it a dvd the final product has scan lines on it.. can anyone help me fix it?

You have to de-interlace the footage before you send it to iDVD. Did you shoot in 24p / 30p etc.? Need a few more details.

Choose the FILE/Export/QuickTime command.
Also, a whole bunch of options are detailed in the searchable pdf help menu

Bless me Father for I am about to sin. It has only been 3 days since I answered this question.
Ok...
WHAT does 24p mean to you? -- does that mean that you shot 24 fps? Or does it mean something else?
What camera?

I suggested one workflow. What happened when you tried that?
And it would important information to know:
1. What camcorder with what settings;
2. What sequence settings with what version of FCP.
