This use to happen back when I used iMovie HD before I had FCP. Switched over to that and it's been working great till not too long ago when I put it a piece of music or a sound wave of dialogue. Any Sound file. (there might have been video, but can't remember) but sound files. After I throw in a sound file for the footage I play it and I hear this click noise. It's really annoying because my movie would now have a random clicking noise. Anyone ever heard of this or came across this issue and knows how to solve the problem and take the clicking noise out or make it spot!? If anyone knows about this please let me know what I can do or you can do.

What format is your audio? FCP needs aiff audio format.

Ramsaur,
I have had that problem before when the audio rate is not 48khz. If you drop in a song from itunes or straight from a CD, it is at 44khz. That clicking sound is the difference between the two. Import your audio into final cut then export using quicktime conversion to 48k then reimport your footage. This should fix it.

I started hearing a click between cuts. It just started last night when I was editing. There is no click noise in the audio until I put two video clips together then I hear the clicking noise. I've edited 80 minutes of video so far and had no problems until now.

That is a reoccuring problem that sometimes rears its head. It is because of the specific fame you've decided to cut the audio on. To get around it, editors will cut the audio on the frame just before or after, or do a quick 2 frame fade up or dissolve on the track.
(I am referring to PerceptionFilms problem, not the original question on this thread.)

Thanks I'll try that.
And to the 2nd post - I'm using AIFF. Sometimes I have an a .mp3 or .wav and no clicking came out. Must be the audio rate.
