I am for the first time taking screen grabs off FCP & when I do via

File>Export>using quick time conversion> Still image> JPEG, so on and so forth

My stills come out miss per portioned...
It smashes the pic into I think 4:3 aspect still.
Does anyone know why? and what option I can change to correct this? Thanks

if you don't have a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio in timeline or file, you need to re size the image in a photo app like photoshop, or if you can choose the resolution size, you can change the resolution for export.

alot of people would export a tiff file then go to photoshop, re size and save the image as png or jpg.

thanks, there is a fast way if you know what your doing, you can set an in and out point of one frame, export as quicktime movie(which will allow you to custom set the resolution(change the resolution here)), open in quicktime pro, and export png sequence.

it's faster than it reads.

yes thank you, I found I like the second way better, for some reason I had trouble doing it the first way you recommended...
I would re size in photoshop but it would still save the squashed... who knows, like I said, I liked the second way...
Thanks again!
