I am using FCP 6 to edit weekly webisodes using HVX200. I need someone to tell me if I have a solution to fix the bad clip after we shot the scene. Look at the attachment to see if there is an application to fix it. P2CMS wont fix the bad footage. I suspected something happened with the hard drive when we transferred them also back them up on another HD however both hard drives had same bad footage. Hope I can fix it somehow because we cant reshoot it.

The camera has a REPAIR function. Can you get the P2 dump back onto a card and then use the camera to repair that clip? Hmm....might be only if it shows up with a red ! on the thumbnail that the clip is repairable. Still, worth a shot.

The REPAIR function on HVX200 wont be able to fix the damaged clip. I hope Barry or other guru could post if there is a solution or not! Thanks

How exactly did you transfer the P2 files to the hard drives? Drag and drop? or P2CMS?

I used p2Genie. I suspected that the hard drive caused the problem. Maybe it had a electric static at the moment of transfer or later on to ruin the footage itself.
