Ask your self,
Do you shoot long events
or
short events

if it's long then don't waste time on small card as the 4 and 8, you will regret it.
For very short shoots a 4 and an 8 would be OK.

Personally I think the 32's are the sweet spot in size and price.

Thanks for the insight. My needs suit something totally different. So, putting use and purpose aside. Are the prices good for the particular cards.

If you shop, you can get 16 GBs for about $700 or so.

That's about $43.00 per gigabyte.

You are getting about $46.00 per.

I'd say NO, because they are now old cards, and as david pointed out, $'s per gig.
What is your intended purpose?

eg, I recently sold one of my old 8gig cards for $220 US.

I have seen used 16 gig cards for $550. One for $500 not to long ago. If it were me I'd pass.

Its cheaper again if you can get a laptop to firewire the footage straight onto the internal laptops drive or one hanging off the side.

My MBP just does that :)

I'm going to skip the purchase.

I am currently selling my camera, thought it might be a little more attractive to have cards to sell with it if I had gotten them at a good price.

You guys say that price isnt so hot, OK no biggie. I'll continue to just try and sell the camera.
