Hey, I'm not even sure if this is a FCP issue or not but I really have no idea so I'm gonna give it a try here.

Lately, whenever I capture whatever footage onto my FCP, on my clip it would randomly have these 'thudz' noise here and there.

I nailed down the offending frames and the noise would last no more than a couple of frames, but they do happen randomly.

I checked the tape of course and there is nothing wrong with it.

I have re-captured the same footages more than once and the 'thuds' noise would reappear in different places.

It only started happening recently, so it might have something to do with the cold and dry weather here in Canada??

Any ideas would help.

Thanks

Can you post a clip?

Usually, if the hits aren't locked to specific points, it's due to something like dirty play heads.

Someone suggested that I should turn off all other programs while capturing... I think I have deduced it to a problem with my firefox. those auto refresh websites...

Thanks though C2V
