putting only audio on timeline?

i know how to put a in and out of footage in the viewer and move it to the timeline... How do i do the same but instead of the entire clip going to the timeline, just audio going.

uncheck the v1 patch-connector-thingy
(that is the unofficial name)

its located next to the V1, V2 etc button
