record to HVX200a cam from FC

Okay I'm way to lazy to go through the forums, but I'm trying to record from my final cut 6 output playback to my HVX200A cam with a striped tape. I can see video in the camera's screen and monitor audio. when I hit record timecode is not moving. anyone know of a setting in the camera to get input into the camera. I have it going in the correct firewire setting NTSC DV and its a SD def video coming from FCP.

I was able to record to the HVX camcorder but what is bizzare is that it did not lay timecode on the tape. so it plays back but I won't be able to give the master tape to a cable company because they can't encode the tape without timecode. how is this possble? recorded video but no timecode readout. I tried to digitize the tape back into FCP but it would not digitize as I thought no timeecode. any ideas? thanks
