Recently I purchased an EX1 and had never edited footage with it. After shooting scenes on a Scandisk 16 Gigabyte flashcard (which playsback fine on the camera) I decided to tackle the editing issue.

I insert the flash card into a flash card reader hooked up to my computer through USB and open the clip browsing software. This is where the problem starts. Reading the files directly from the flash card is slow and choppy and unwatchable. Transfering the flash footage to hard drive takes 25 minutes for a 1 minute clip. Obviously there's a problem.

What should I do?

Configuration: XP Home Edition, SATA 2, Quad Core, 4 Giga DDR2.

Put the card back in the camera, connect the camera USB to the computer, and try clipbrowser that way.

Are you using the SxS card or an SDHC with an adapter?
