Hi there, hope someone can help.

I've got 2 hours of main camera footage of a lecture with sound, running continuously. Then i've got B camera footage about 1:30 hours of footage, comprising of alternate angles, cut aways etc. I synced both time-codes with free-run at the beginning of the shoot.

How can I drop the B camera clips into FCP timeline to sync and lock to the A camera time-code? Is this possible?

Kind Regards
Jon

You can do it manually... use the timecode overlays in the viewer and canvas.

OR... you can set up a multicam group and have FCP lock the timecodes FOR you. Look up multicam in the manual and you'll find what you need. Then, it's a question of just blading your video and switching cameras. (There are better ways to use multicam from the viewer though - but that is simple enough).
