Sound Trouble please help

Hi, well i have a Panasonic DVX 100 B i have been filming for a ski video and im basically done with it. I uploaded the footage onto final cut pro 5.4.1 when i went to play back the footage there is no volume. I haven't had a problem like this before so if anyone can help me out that would be great. Also i uploaded it to imovie to make sure it wasnt the camera and there was audio on imovie
