Hey Everyone,

I'm shooting my first feature with the HVX and I had a question regarding variable speeds. I shot a scene in 60FPS with the intention of speeding up parts of the scene to look like "real time." I have just been guessing as to what to increase the speed percentage to in Final Cut to mimic "real time." Is there an easier way to recreate this effect? Any suggestions?

If you're in a 24 fps project, you need to run at 250% speed. If you're in a 30 fps project you need to run at 200% speed.

shooting rate/target rate=the conversion factor you want.

It allows you to create a speed ramping effect in post, similar to what's possible with much higher end cameras. If you just shoot at 60 and speed it all up, you might as well just shoot at 24 or 30.
