Comparison Question...

Hey guys,

i am thinking of buying the Sony PMW EX3, but i don't know whether to buy the Sony, or a Panasonic HVX200. Both in my budget.

Can anyone help me decide? which one gives out more of a professional look.

Your question as posed is un-answerable since what constitutes "a professional look" is purely subjective. A consumer camera can produce respectable results if handled correctly.

What do you intend to use it for? Are you shooting professionally or as a serious hobbiest? What controls do you need? How will it integrate into what you already use? There are countless things to work through and reading the existing threads on these cameras is the best place to begin.

Let me just say that after months and months of side by side tests and comparisons... There is absolutely no contest.
The Sony EX1 and EX3 (same internal camera) are far far superior to any of the Panasonics or Canons.
Also, one can simply look at the specs and see the obvious differences there
Other than that, Bobonli's questions above are the real ones you should be asking yourself.
