I'm about to shoot a narrative short with the HVX and an HF100 for b-cam. Will these two mix together well? I'd like things to look as uniform as possible. Will the picture quality of the HF100 even come close to the HVX?
Both will be rolling in 1080/24p.

I'm very interested in your results ... I'm planning on picking up the next gen Canon in March when they come out to use as a B-Cam to the HVX like you but, I won't be using it for matched intercutting in a scene.
I'll be using it in 30p with a Beachtek adapter attached
run n gun, 1 man bandit for a magazine show

I would think that the Panasonic HDC-SD9 would be your best bet. I haven't done any testing and haven't touched the HVX for a long while, but my little SD9 seems to have some of that Panasonic look to it.
The little cams are a pain with low light, but can look very nice in natural light.

Word. Well, both cams are being donated by a client of mine for the shoot, so this beggar can't be a chooser. I'm excited to see what happens though. I'll post my results for sure but I'd sure love to hear some thoughts from someone who has used both cameras.

Yes, please post your results. I've been thinking of picking up one of these Canons (or the newer one when it is out) to augment HVX footage on upcoming shoots.
