It was a nice and chilly winter day here in Finland and I decided to go out to test some new techniques. The tilt and shift effect was achieved in after effects, so it is all stock lens. I'd like to hear some comments if the effect is convincing at all. Also if someone has some tips to make it better, shoot me.

Are those models? Footage looked good, but they seemed like models.

:) They are not models, the whole idea of tilt and shift photography is to create an illusion of smaller scale (in other words, make it look like miniature/scale model). So it is great to hear the pictures appeared model like

That's pretty cool. I don't really understand what you did, but it does make everything look like a model. Can you please give us more details. I wonder if you could somehow mix real miniatures in the foreground for an even more surreal feeling.
