Hi All,

I have a Pentax K200D, and both the Sigma EF-530 DG ST and EF-530 DG Super. Both flashes give very inconsistent exposure results, even though they're both supposed to work with Pentax's P-TTL system. Some pictures are fine, but some are so dark they're almost black, and others are totally washed out. Any thoughts?

I don't know the specific equipment you are using but here are a few general tips:

Make sure your exposure compensation is set to middle

Check that your shutter speed does not exceed your cameras maximum sync speed probaly around 1/200th (try it at 1/100th)

Is P-TTL on? Make sure its not on any manual flash power mode

you might want to ask this question at pentaxforums.com, or the pentax slr forum on dpreview.

i have a 500 super that's p-ttl, but the stuff i shoot with my k10d is in full manual mode.
