Hey,
So my friend from a thread or two back has finally managed to get most the video I sent him working after I had open it in FCP and exported as XD CAM mp4.
The thing is, I did them in batches as time was pressing, of 10 clips.
He's tried to open these mp4's in clip browser and all work fine except one pushing 4gb that clip browser won't open. It says it needs to be split before it'll open it - I'm guessing 4gb is some weird file limit or something.
I don't understand why this is the case - on my mac I've opend 16gb files no problem. I suggested to him perhaps his external hd was fat32 and was having issues, which it was. But after taking my suggestion of copying it to his normal ntfs hard drive he still has the same problem.
Got us kind of stumped. I can just send him a dvd with the video files split into two but it's hassle and I was wondering if there was an easy solution.
