Posting this on "both boards."

Picked up a couple of 32gb cards at J&R and started a shoot this (Sun) AM. Using KxS in both slots. Shut down camera and when I turned camera back on got msg that media in Slot A needed to be formatted. I did not format. Shut down camera again, removed entire card and put in Express slot in MacBook Pro. All clips I had shot were on the card and I'm transferring to hard drive as I write.

I seem to recall hearing one other 32gb SDHC horror story of a similar nature.

For the moment, I'm going to be very suspicious of these and will not use them on my major shoot the next two days. Will report more after I've had the chance to investigate. Will probably just try to fill an entire card and see what happens.

That is a bit of a concern. Please let us know if you find this happens again and if you find any pattern that causes this or if ends up being a 'one off'.

Which 32GB cards are you using?

From what I understand, only the SanDisk 16 GB Ultra II or Ultra III cards have proved themselves.

It is the new Sandisk 32GB Ultra II that is being used. Its a new card so some people are having new experiences with it.

I was able to read all clips on the chip and there was no loss of footage.

When I put card back into EX-3 it saw the card.

I will use the 32gb cards on a shoot today. But I also have several Transcend 16gb as well as 4 SxS cards with me.
