Hi All.
I work in CS3 with Matrox RT.X2 and I'm starting my first project with HVX200 footage. All footage was shot at 720p, 30fps, 960x720
Using Premiere, the most logical setting (under New Project) seems to be:
DVCPROHD, 720P (but do I choose 24, 50 or 60P?) We shot it at 30P, but funny enough, when I look at clip properties in Premiere, the Frame Rate is 29.97.
To complicate matters, I have the Matrox RT.X2, and I would like to use it to improve performance. However, the settings are even less clear:
Matrox HD, 720P (which frame rate?) and HDV or MPEG2-I frame?
One final confusion, when I open the clip in any Matrox 720P HD project, the projects Frame Size is 1280 x 720 (greyed out). I'm assuming it's being upscaled from 960x720 - which should make it blurry? It's hard to tell.
Sorry for the complicated question. I'm sure the answer is straightforward. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Best.
Peter
