I´m just going to buy HMC 151 and wonder if anyone knows
which format is best for native editing in Vegas 8.0c.
720/25 or 1080/50?
Or is intermediate the only way to go.

I would recommend using the mainconcept transcoder and Raylight or look into the new Neo Scene. Vegas has issues with 24p/60p; not sure about PAL. For 24p/60p Vegas usually works, but not 100% of the time. Transcoding works flawlessly and the files have better color space which I find works better than native AVCHD for tasks like keying.

Just began testing my HMC 151E (PAL) and workflow
I´ve tested Cineform Scene trial and it wouldn´t even transcode HP 720/25p or 720/50p - when I click start there´s a red sign in the source clip window
and nothing happens - all other formats no problem.
Properties in Vegas show 50,000 (dual pal) for both 720/25p and 720/50p MTS files?!

Have also tried AVCHD UpShift - no problems.
I´m running Vegas 8.0c on Vista 64 because
Vegas 8.1 wouldn´t render without crashing.
I guess i´ll go for UpShift for now.
Any advice from 151E owners would be nice.
