Hey is this better than Vegas? I just spent three months learning Vegas and would hate to switch. (I am one of those always upgrading guys)

on the white sheet it looks like it is. *But the real test is its stability and timeline response. *I really hope Adobe gets it right this time. *I love the 3 point editing, source/record concept and now they're also converting to single track editing. *Also, Adobe have a history of good 3rd party support so it could potentially be a platform to edit a wide range of video formats.
Hey you from Det? I'm actually from Rochester, where you from?

first thing i noticed when i got to this forum is that there is no list for Pinnacle NLE, which i must say i am not surprised because it is crap. SO, i am switching, which way do you suggest, Vegas video or Premier/Premier pro?

Studio. It is a total joke if you ask me. I have never had a program crash so much either.

Studio is a piece of crap. Don't even put it in the same league as Premier, Vegas, Pinnacle Edition. On second thought, why are you even using Studio if you bought a DVX100?

I am having Deja Vu here. Someone else is using it. Are we all missing something here. I'm gonna go take a look at the website and see if I am thinking of the same studio.

Ok.. after using Premier Pro I'd say that it is no where as responsive as Vegas on my Athlon XP 2100+ 512MB box. Rumors has it that with a more powerful P4 HT, Premier Pro really takes off. I like Vegas more right now because it's more responsive but I can see Premier Pro has a more capable NLE for all kinds of edits.

I have Premiere pro and Vegas 4. I only use Vegas 4. Any one want to buy Premiere pro?

Well one thing that needs to be changed in Vegas is how the effects are applied and edited. I hate to click on the effects icon for each clip to bring up a pop-up window. In PPro, whenver you select a clip, it's associated effects show up in the effects window, which would already be opened...
but I can see Premier Pro has a more capable NLE for all kinds of edits.
Just curious...why? What different sort of edits couldn't you do in Vegas that you could do in PPro?
Thx.
