Okay, so I've owned my HVX since they came on the market about 3 years ago (geez, has it been that long?) Anyway, I have experimented with many different settings and techniques for attaining that ever elusive film look, so I end up just going back to film. I seem to get most film-like response in lower light, and running a slightly higher frame rate, i.e., 26 to 32fps on the 720/24pn timebase. Then, I down-rez in camera. Sounds wierd, I know.
When acquiring in well-lit scenarios, the images look very nice, but just too real.
Maybe I just don't get it.
