What should the setup switch on the DVX-100a be set to if the final destination for the footage (30p or 60i) is Premiere Pro?

Should it be 0 IRE or 7.5 IRE?

Does the switch need to be set differently if the footage is 24p and is going to be captured using DVFIlmaker?

Thanks for the help!

what do you mean the fianl destination is premire pro? are you saying that your making the footage just to capture it into premire pro, and never do anything with it? its not going to have a final destination of dvd, or vhs, or film out, or hd uprez?

anyway it doesnt matter what your setup is for importing or editing .. it doesnt matter at all really, . just use 0 . if it ever goes to an analog output , then it matters, and it needs to be at 7.5 but most of the time the analog equipment will add that for you automatically through your ntsc out. so using 0 is pretty safe in general.

;D Yes you are right. Brain getting ahead of the fingers here. What I said was not completely what I meant....

60i and 30p
DVX100a -> Premiere Pro -> Encore DVD -> DVD

and/or

DVX100a -> DVFilmaker -> PP -> Encore DVD -> DVD

That is the workflow. So 0 ire will work for this?

Thanks!
