View Full Version : Annoying TypeSpt folder in WinXP

Every time I launch Premiere Pro, it creates a folder named TypeSpt in all currently open windows/directories, even those that are minimized (or at least some of them), and including the Desktop.

This TypeSpt folder contains a Program Files sub-folder, which contains a Shared Files folder, which contains an Adobe folder, which (finally) contains a .lst document named AdobeFnt.

This is getting seriously annoying... Does anyone know where those TypeSpt folders come from, and how to prevent PPro from re-creating them ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Did you buy the application?

Do you own any virus protection software? Does it work? - Hint Hint / Wink Wink
That's my guess, I have never heard of that, but you may want to try adobe forums, they are pretty on top of things.

I have a machine that that file will appear from time to time too but it seems to be Adobe related and not specific to Premiere (the particular machine doesn't have Premiere installed). For me, they usually appear after using Acrobat.

Hey, Preston, you're right ! I wrongly accused Premiere, where Acrobat Reader is the actual culprit ! Thanks for the eye-opener... I'll talk to Adobe about that... And Jarred, you may delete this thread if you want. It doesn't belong here. My mistake !
