Hey,

I have just owned the HVX for two days and I have made fried with it very much.
But there a question I have, which I hope someone will answer.

After recording a 720p/50p clip, I play it in P2-MCR mode, but it looks like 50i and shows no slow motion at al.

I can't find these sections that would help in the manual so I hope for an answer here. Can you watch 50p in 25p so it equals 50% slowmotion in the P2-MCR mode?

Thanks,
David

In order to record overcranked footage, you must shoot in 720 25pn. In the scene file menu make sure you are in film cam mode & change the frame rate from default to 50. When it is played back in MCR (or on your computer), it will be two times slower.

As for the 50p footage you shot, you can change its timecode to playback two times slower in a 25 fps timeline using something like cinema tools. Otherwise, you simply shot 50 progressive frames per second.
