anybody heard any rumorings yet when premiere pro and encore would be able to handle 24pA without having to use another program for pulldown etc?

To my knowledge Adobe has neither confirmed nor denied whether 24pa will be available in future updates, at least an official announcement has not been made. There are, as always, tones of rumers floating around. Adobe has also not yet officailly announced an upgrade to Ppro or whether it will be a version update or another "6.5" update for $150. Seems more likely that it will be a full update (one you have to pay for) as there are many, many things that need to be fixed in Ppro. Don't get me wrong, Premiere is a great program, but it is basically Premiere Pro 1.0 not version 7.0 as it is an entirely new program. Adobe Encore is also great and I use it for all my dvd work. It is just the most versitile DVD authoring program you can get for your money, although it has it's fair share of bugs and quirks, however Encore has an update out that has fixed many of those bugs.
