I shot some footage with an HVX200 in 480i 60i squeeze and am trying to make a DVD, but when I play it on the TV, it's all blotchy. I exported it as a quick time movie as well as an MP4 and tried to use compressor. I am using DVD Studio Pro to author the DVD. What would cause it to come out blotchy? I'm assuming it's caused by using the wrong settings. Perhaps this is the wrong forum for this, but I hope you can help. Thanks!

Define "blotchy"

The footage looks pretty pixilated. Some of the pixels appear to be struggling to stay in focus. I hope that's an accurate enough description. I hope it's just a setting problem between Final Cut and DVD Studio Pro and not a mistake on the shooting end of it. Thanks for whatever help you can give me!

Well does it look ok in Final Cut? If so it's a compresseion issue. What are your bitrate settings in compressor?

The settings I am using in compressor are 7.34 for the average bit rate and 23.00 for the maximum bit rate. Unfortunately, its the first time using compressor, so my other settings may be off also. I pretty much used the default settings, thinking that they would most likely be safe. I really do appreciate your help. Thanks!
