Converting this old boom mic jib to a camera Jib

My Dad has this old jib, that looks like it was meant for hanging a mic. The Pedestal is on wheels, the arm extends pretty long and moves pretty high and low. But the arm seems like it would bend if you started to hang anything heavy from it. Also, there is nothing on the end.

I'm thinking I could weld an extra piece of metal to the arm to strengthen it, but I can't figure out what I can do to mount the camera. Has anyone ever built a Jib, or have any idea how to make the end of it?

Here is a picture of what it looks like. My dad could probably weld another pole parallel to the arm for strength, but how could I make the end where the camera is mounted?
