Shake or Nuke?

We are planning to jump one of this programs. As a producer i am not a technical guy but i am in betwwen my 3d and composit artist,som of them forcing for nuke some of them wants linux version of shake..and there is a huge price difference between them.What do u guys think about this?What are the advantages of one of these program to other one..shake seems more hollywood work..Our company mostlly produce high budget commercials,and we used to work on flame or inferno(of course outsource)...

Nuke is becoming more popular and is used by a lot the big guys. It seems more like the "future" as oppose to Shake. I hear the shake UI is improving too. If it were me it would be either Nuke or Fusion.
