Desktop Play Delay in Premiere Pro 2???

I've tried using a dv camera attached to a tv set for low-end monitoring but it is out by about half a second to the computer. In Avid Xpress DV there is something called 'Desktop Play Delay' so you can sync the computer monitor and external monitor.

Does Premiere Pro 2 have this because I can't find it if it does.


I'm planning to upgrade my edit suite in a year or so to a Mac Pro FCS2 workflow with proper monitoring but untill then I'd like to use a good tv via a dv camera for client monitoring.

Hope you guys can help or point me to a similar topic already posted.

If you can get your hands on a file called msdv.sys from SP1 you may find this fixes it for you.

Its a Windows/System32/ Drivers file

(I have it and could email it to you.)

It is a bit of a swine to swap so do it from the "command prompt"
