I have no idea what to think about that. It seems so very accepted amongst the large group of people yet its not a celebration because everybody seems so serious. Kind of reminds me of some different cultures protesting (ie Iraqis hitting with sole of shoe as sign of disrespect, etc), but I've never seen anything like what they are doing and can't seem to find the message clearly stated anywhere.
Not sure what this is!
Can't say I didn't see that coming!

Ryan, that's exactly what I thought. If nothing else it gave me a giggle.

I used to do stupid things like this when I was 12. With M100s. It's a wonder I still have all of my limbs and eyes. Once we got a hold of blasting caps and C4, it began to occur to us that maybe we were going too far.
Now that I am a 45 year old geezer, stuff like this scares me, especially since I have kids but as a kid myself, I did some stupid, crazy shi*e.

It's a terrorist attack on the U.S.! I recognize that area, and it is on the San Andreas Fault line! They're trying to sink California!

Looks like Malta.
They are big on fireworks over there. Someone told me about a festival every year where they just throw firecrackers around, all going off in the streets etc etc.
Maybe thats what this is....

I see things like this and I just remind myself that the world isn't exactly suffering from an underpopulation problem.
Granted, most every year I get up with some friends that do commercial fireworks shows, and we dispose of their old stock by shooting 500-600 pounds of it at a time with a 50 bmg at 900-1,000 yards, but that's a little different from hitting it with a sledgehammer. at 1+km we're a little bit safer than those jokers.
