Hey guys, I'm planning to shoot a short movie with a DVX100 (I've already got the camera booked :)) and I was hoping I'd be able to get Premiere Pro 1.5 before the end of the shoot (which should be the 28th). *Unfortunately it looks like I'm stuck with the origional Premiere Pro, which isn't so bad I guess, but it wont allow me to utilize 24P advance. *I havent found any way around this, and since my goal is to show the short on the internet (and perhaps some film festivals, but mostly the net) Im wondering if this is acceptable or if I should just wait indefinitely until I can get a copy of Premiere Pro 1.5. *Thanks!

*Just noticed the spelling error in the title :)*
I don't think it really matters all that much. You're still going to get the same "look" either way, if that's what you're worried about. :)

Thanks Jive, I was just worried that I would go through all that effort to rent the camera, film the short, edit, and then when it gets to the internet its not good enough. *I guess it shouldnt matter anyways, since Ive gone over this script millions of times making it as solid as possible, and ill be making it look as good as possible also :). *Wish me luck!

Is the 1.5 upgrade worth it? If it looks the same without why bother?

yes its worth it. the technicalities behind what ends up "looking the same" are important to people using 24p.
